What is a Veteran Affairs Program?
The Veteran Affairs Program is a program that allows Canadian Veterans who have been discharged from duty to access medical cannabis at no out of pocket expense through VAC (Veteran Affair Canada)
How do I know if I qualify for the program?
To qualify for the program, we require your K number. Your K number can be found on your VAC Health Care Identification Card. If you need further assistance or have any questions about eligibility, please contact:
Medavie Blue Cross
1-888-261-4033
available Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in each Canadian time zone (excluding Federal Government Statutory Holidays).

We also require a valid medical document from a Healthcare Practitioner containing your diagnosis. If no diagnosis is indicated on the medical document, the healthcare practitioner may also write a letter or verbally inform Medavie Blue Cross, however this may hinder the approval times.
If you require a medical document, we are here to help! Please visit https://www.cannmartmd.com/ and book your free consultation with a Nurse Practitioner today.

How long does it take to get approved?
The approval process can take up to 30 days from the original fax date to Medavie Blue Cross.
What does VAC (Veteran Affairs Canada) cover?
Veteran Affairs Canada will cover $8.50 per gram. The remainder for the cost CannMart will absorb. There is no out of pocket expense to you.
*Please note at this time, the Veteran Affairs Program with CannMart will only cover Dried Flower.*
I have been approved, how do I place my first/repeat order?
Once we received confirmation from VAC of your approval, please email support@cannmart.com to place your first order. At this time, Veterans are now able to place orders via email with CannMart.
The reset date for Veteran is 30 days after the shipped date of the order.
When will my order ship?
Orders placed before 3 pm Monday through Friday are expected to ship out with the courier the same day. There is no shipping cost to the Veteran and they may choose either Canada Post or Purolator.
